The Vintage V4MTB ReIssued Series ‘Tony Butler Signature’ bass is modelled on the iconic ’54 bass used by former Big Country bassist Tony Butler on so may of the band’s tracks back in the eighties, contributing to the band’s unique sound and underpinning their unmistakeable roots, folk, rock style, relentless guitar driven energy.
Featuring a single period correct Wilkinson Platinum Series WPB Alnico V split coil hum-bucking pickup which delivers authentic, traditional tone and outstanding low -end performance. The Wilkinson four saddle WBBCR bridge, with brass saddles is the perfect tonal match for the WPB pickup, and with individually intonatable saddle bridge delivers tone and accurate tuning with the modern and traditional aesthetics and features.
