Description

Like all models in the Vintage Statesboro’ Series of acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars, designed by English guitarist and blues historian Paul Brett, the new Statesboro’ electro-acoustic bass shares the same ‘bluesman on a budget’ theme.

A subtle but very effect satin matt Whisky Sour finish, highlights the natural grain pattern of the all-mahogany construction and decorative soundhole rosette, whilst price point defying features also include, smooth operative chrome plated die cast machine heads ensuring tuning stability, tech wood bridge and precision moulded ABS nut and saddle for precise intonation.

With its warm and innate overtones, mahogany is the perfect choice for the dreadnought size body, enhancing natural acoustic bass frequencies, from a huge, mellow upright bass-like response when played fingerpicking style, or to a snappy hard-edged attack when played with a pick or slap style.

With its 866mm/34″ scale length, long sleek, mahogany neck and 20 fret fingerboard, the Statesboro’ electro-acoustic bass is a delight to perform with. For the impromptu unplugged session, the acoustic output is noticeably loud and dynamic, with excellent clarity, note separation and sustain, whilst effortlessly keeping up with strummed acoustic guitars.

This stunning electro acoustic bass also features the company’s in-house designed preamp with controls for volume, 3-Band EQ, phase switch, tuner display and low battery indicator. With the EQ set flat, the undersaddle piezo pickup, yields a superb natural acoustic delivery, or further enhanced by way of the Bass, Middle and Treble controls.

Looking the part with its historic routesy, bluesy, visual foundation, the Vintage Statesboro’ Whisky Sour finished electro-acoustic, is an excellent performer in both live and studio environments, ideal for all music genres from jazz to pop, blues to rock.

There’s also the modern approach within construction and playability that students, amateur and professional players of all styles will appreciate, making it a worthwhile and versatile instrument for any bass guitarist to own.
